Big miss for Captain Jack down the stretch. His 3-point attempt wasn’t even close, bricking off the side of the rim, and it ended the series for the Bobs. Game 4 is now just about pride. I would have preferred that the Bobs take it inside – what was the whole point of fouling out [...]

Late Rally by the Bobs Falls Short

The Charlotte Bobcats almost stole Game 1 in Orlando, but they Magic were able to hang on late for the win. If the Bobs had won, I don’t know if they would have deserved it. At times, the played like crap. At other times, they were absolutely unbelievable. Total polar opposites not just in the [...]
Bobs Hog the News Over All-Star Break

It was a good All-Star weekend exposure-wise for Charlotte this weekend. Gerald Wallace was on primetime Saturday night in the Dunk Contest, and he made his and the Bobcats’ inaugural All-Star Game appearance. Scott Fowler even wrote a great piece on him, which was much-needed. Charlotte only has two pro franchises, and Wallace has undoubtedly established [...]

Charlotte is a buzz today over Gerald Wallace’s tip-in game-winner last night against the Memphis Grizzlies. Yeah, I know, a Bobcats-Grizzlies game was that exciting. The Griz were 18-17 going into last night’s game, and there was a pretty big crowd at the Cable Box. There is no reason there shouldn’t be a big crowd for [...]

The Bobs finally took care of business on the second night of back-to-back, beating the Knicks 96-85 on Saturday night in a front of a sellout crowd at the TWC Arena. The Bobs have recently dropped some crucial winnable games that have fallen on the second night of a back-to-back, and it has cost them dearly in their [...]

Thursday will be a big day for Charlotte’s two pro teams. The Panthers negotiations with Jordan Gross on a contract extension and their dealings with Julius Peppers are affected by the NFL’s 4 p.m. deadline for teams to apply franchise tags on players. The Bobcats must decide whether they want to pull off one final [...]
Karma?

After mauling Gerald Wallace a week ago and knocking him out of action indefinitely, Andrew Bynum will miss 8-12 weeks with a torn MCL. This will likely have a significant impact on his team’s playoff seeding and hopes. Karma is a bitch, Andrew. The QCSB is all about good sportsmanship though, so I wish Andrew a speedy [...]

D.J. Augustin suffered a setback in his rehab and will be out 10 more days. The Bobs were blown out by the Blazers tonight. The game was never close. There is still no timetable for when Gerald Wallace will be able to return from his broken rib and collapsed lung.
Bobcats Didn’t Deserve it, but They Got the Win

OK, that might be too critical. They played their hearts out last night, and they beat a great team at its place. I’m still mad about the 1-8 shooting from the free throw line in the 4th quarter. The game would not have gone to double OT if they had just hit some of those [...]

G-Force = First Charlotte Bobcats All-Star

In case you missed it, Gerald Wallace was named to the Eastern Conference All-Star team last week. In doing so, he became the first player to represent the Charlotte Bobcats in the All-Star game. While the honor itself if pretty sweet, I think the story is even better. There were always other guys who were supposed to [...]
